Overview
The Cyber Security Analyst 4 is responsible for creating a secure computing environment that protects against unauthorized access, modification or destruction.
Responsibilities
- Apply security expertise and extensive best practice knowledge in designing, implementing and maintaining the public and private cloud security solutions that protect or govern information needs of the organization
- Develop and design security policies ranging from account management, password/key management, to vulnerability/threat assessment
- Present security updates and state of affairs assessments to executive teams
- Operate as a recognized expert in company security-related initiatives and issues; serve as a liaison to other departments within the company when expertise can be leveraged
- Perform threat and vulnerability assessments to ensure that systems are protected from known and potential threats
- Use security tools and resolve security issues
- Develop and implement incident response processes; respond to and resolve reported security incidents
- Perform acquisition and vendor risk assessments
- Develop, implement and maintain recovery procedures for systems
- Monitor systems for anomalies, disruption and respond accordingly
- Manage projects and all associated work
- Develop standards for internal documentation; ensure consistency with documentation for security systems and procedures
- Operate as an innovative thought leader and independently implement effective and successful changes to processes or technology
- Contribute to security research, including innovating new ideas, researching related work, developing new concepts, and prototyping ideas
- Mentor, coach and train other team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Science
- Expertise in IT security architecture within private, public, and hybrid cloud environments
- Expertise in Microsoft Operating systems and products
- Expertise in Unix Operating systems
- Demonstrated mastery of applying security fundamentals and networking concepts
- Experience with automation tools
- Experience with anti-malware, file integrity monitoring, and data loss prevention tools
- Expertise with various security tools
- Recommended Comp TIA Security + or equivalent experience
- Recommended CISSP, GIAC, or other security certifications
- Excellent oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with executive presence
- Highly organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
- Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Excellent collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
- Driven to learn and stay current professionally
- Attentive to detail, as demonstrated by regularly verifying all work thoroughly to ensure accuracy
- Experience providing guidance and support to developing team members
- Up to 10% travel time required
