Responsible for monitoring and responding to network security events across multiple platforms, operating systems, and devices.

Essential Responsibilities Include, And Are Not Limited To
    • Coordinates the implementation and management of information security tools, systems, policies, and procedures to ensure that industry best practices are followed.
    • Participate in internal and external security audits.
    • Manage network, intrusion detection and prevention systems.
    • Analyze security breaches to determine their root cause.
    • Documents security designs. Maintains data security procedures, policies, and standards as they relate to the Recology environment. Proposes and implements means to decrease vulnerability of systems through the review of systems reports and assigned audit procedures.
    • Assesses the security impact of new technology implementations; Assists with organizing, writing, and implementing Security Awareness program materials and memos and/or provides leadership in the implementation of this task.
    • Proactively monitors security alerts of potential computer viruses and system patches. Manages timing for updates as defined by severity and impact on systems.
    • Performs self-assessment audits and internal/external network scanning as it relates to security of credit card information. Ensures conformity with Payment Card Industry Standard (PCI).
    • Coordinates with IT Director the activation of the Security Incidence Response Team (SIRT) for the escalation of discovered security violations and appropriate notifications. Performs follow-up investigative contact or corrections.
    • In concert with IT team, develops, tests, and implements disaster recovery plan.

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:

Education And Experience
    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Five years of hands-on project experience relevant to information security and IT policy development and implementation.
    • CISSP certification and strong technical background in systems and networking.
    • iSeries security management software and SSL certificate management experience.
    • Valid Driver’s License.

    • Computer programs, including Microsoft Office suite of applications, Microsoft Active Directory, and using data to inform and set priorities and identify challenges/opportunities.
